Hurrah! Here's hoping for RAW on the plasma in the comfort of the living room sometime soon!

We should have suggested to Bill Drummond that he spend his fee hosting a streaming version of the night for a year.

yes twas a quality night indeed!

all the collaborators were wicked and it would be great to watch the coldcut/morris bits again because like sparky i didn't know too much about RAW beyond some bits and bobs about the illuminatus! trilogy so it was like an AV documentary at times. i liked the way it felt like a proper 'classic' tribute/appreciation night too, partly due to the setting and ken campbell's wonky thesbness. great way to spend a sunday night...

Hi Mr Drummond.
Could you run 100 copies of illuminatus and get all who was on stage to sign it and sell it on e-bay for 7 pounds 50 pence?

Burning money is cool idea but shred it with a pinch of salt and claim more money on insurance.

Hey I'm really glad u enjoyed it, we certainly did....

Saw lots of friends that I hadn't seen in years as well

I haven't seen the recordings but I promise we will try and
make some of them available .... details to be arranged.
We may also do this show again sometime, perhaps in Dublin and Amsterdam?

Cutting up 15 hrs of Wilson lectures was very interesting (in that I really learnt a lot about his ideas)
but also very infuriating (because he rambles SO MUCH, and there were so many umms and errs)
I spent a whole day excising all the errrrs from one piece ...

The videos we showed near the end were from Matt who mailed RAW some questions 2 years ago
to which he replied on video, and they have never been seen before.

The tune I played at the beginning of the show was Dwight Trible - Celestial Blues

"I'm dead in one universe, but alive in another one.. just like schroedinger's cat"

I would have loved to have seen this as I'm a big RAW fan.

However, my brother lives in Amsterdam, if there are any plans to play the show there let me know!!!
Might be time to pay him a visit!!!

The original Illuminatus! play was performed in Amsterdam as well as Liverpool and London.

RAW lived in Howth outside Dublin for 6 years, and wrote extensively about Irish history and literature especially James Joyce.

In fact his first published article in 1957 was called Joyce & Taoism

Can't beat a good bit of wonky thesbness!
Incidently the schrodingers cat business doesn't take the fact that the cat may experience itself into consideration IMHO.
Hello peeps!

A shame about the idiots behind us who wouldn’t stop talking (they eventually left), but an enjoyable RAW tribute at the QEH on Sunday night. It would certainly be great to hear a recording of the event sometime.

I liked RAW’s comment that he was pleased that his books had been moved from New Age to the Philosophy section of bookshops and he could now be found on the shelves next to Wittgenstein.

I use to work as a mainframe operator at a telecommunications company. We were responsible for all software and hardware issues. I received a call from an Operator in our customer service group. She stated that the keyboard to her terminal did not work. I had her try the usual things (was the hold button on?). When none of my instructions cleared the problem, I told her I would be over with a new keyboard. When I got there, I reached behind the monitor and unplugged the keyboard. When I picked it up and brought it to my chest to pull the cord from behind the monitor, I felt something wet on my chest. When I looked down there was a large brown wet spot on my white dress shirt. When I looked at the operator, she shrugged and said 'I forgot to tell you that I dumped my coffee into my keyboard.

Please don't spam our nice forum!

I'm still getting LOTS of feedback from the RAW show, 99% of it very positive!
