An as yet unsigned band by the name of Idioverse.

Caught them playing live in Whitechapel a few months back ... deep, spacey and heavy, but then judge for yourselves ...

Vital Substance - Before Dark EP [Breakin Even Deep]
Vital Substance - Before The Dark EP
Posted Image
Label: Breakin Even Deep
Format: MP3 / Wav
Cat: B.E.D.006
Artist - Vital Substance

Tracks
1 - The Fake One Feat. Lurch Adams
Preview d-_-b
2 - Before The Dark
Preview d-_-b
3 - Out Of The Shadow
Preview d-_-b

Vital substance follows up his debut ‘‘Broken Pieces EP’’ with three new tracks on the Breakin Even Deep imprint.

‘’Before The Dark’’ continues with Vital’s light and dark themes, an obsession with film soundtracks, and a penchant for sampling old breakbeats. ‘‘Out Of The Shadows’’ is a broody, DJ Shadow inspired number, with trademark sliced up breaks, strings and moody atmospherics.
‘‘The Fake One’’ is a stripped down Orchestral hip hop track, with Lurch Adam’s inspired, if a little angry ‘‘urban poetry’’ bringing the track to life. Deep.

‘‘Before The Dark’’ is another cinematic piece, with a strong atmospheric build up, and a lush horn and string arrangement to boot!

I wonder if anyone would be able to help me?

Whilst listening to Big Chill radio last sunday morning (I'd say around 9am - 10:30 am ish) the DJ played an electronic track that i'd like to know the name to.

He dedicated it to the Big Chill Forum and also warned any parents with kids listening that it had explicit lyrics at the end of the record.

Sure enough at the very end of the track a sample of what sounded like a Mancunian Chav was used over the track saying something about his "F***ing adidas from the market".

Would love to know who & what this record is if any one can help?

Can't recall the track title (and can't find the album at the moment), but that'll be Yimino, off of their Autonoe Vora album, which you can get as a download, or as a CD/DVD combo, which includes a DVD of their excellent visuals.

bakshish music presents : cloudcycle

Posted Image

Cloudcycle is a bizarre experiment conceived by Greg Hunter (Dubsahara, Subsurfing, Alien Soap Opera, who also worked on some seminal albums of electronic music, amongst others with Orb, Killing Joke, Steve Levine, Matrix movie soundtrack) and mauxuam (unpredictable manouvrer who last year released his album Viceversa and has been turning knobs and tweaking sounds for over twenty years on many diverse and obscure projects).
two experienced space navigators who lost their way home, met eachother along the digital pipeline and forgot where they were heading to…and why. Master Margherita met them along the way and while trying to help them find a direction, got himself lost too…

Heavy beats and out of nowhere melodies, slow techno and endless ambient drones....familiar with every genre without belonging to any trend, cloudcycle is a bunch of trip-a-delic dub-minimal-glitch-world-oddness, a spicy and scented delight for the senses...disappearing before you get hold of it...dissolving without trace...fractalized in micromacro syncronicities.

you can donwload the free mp3 here on our website : bakshish.me

thanks for listening
shish

Failing that, try me...
