Right I've been slack recently when it comes to decent new music, anyone got any good recomendations?

Anything in the way of Electronica, Chilled stuff, African Stuff, Techno, Electro, Reggae, Grime etc would float my boat....

Cheers!

Now I'm right out of touch, but that's on BGPZs mix isn't it. What a tune. I didn't think they made 'em like that anymore.

ha ha, that's exactly what I thought, but in not quite as complimentary a way...

s'alright though like.

erm, on a grime/dubstep tip I recommend:

Skreamizm Vol.1

http://www.boomkat.c...em.cfm?id=20507

and

Skreamizm Vol.2

http://www.boomkat.c...em.cfm?id=22267

and this:

and

Virus Syndicate - Major List Mcs/Ready To Learn

http://www.phonicare...l.aspx?ID=12519

and maybe Mark One's take on the Imperial March

http://www.phonicare...l.aspx?ID=11897

or something.

>African Stuff

if you don't have "Dimanche A Bamako" by Amadou and Mariam, check that out.

Also "Hugh Masekela presents The Chisa Years 65-75" is pretty ace.

Apologies for the blatant spam, but my stuff falls under the headings of "Electronica", "Chilled Stuff" and "Techno2. It might float your boat. In my signature there are links to the myspace page and the beatport page.

There is lots of excellent chilled music being done by herb recordings who I am signed to as well. Check them out at herbrecordings

As regards techno, my current favourite new techno is the doubtful guest

I can highly recommend Matisyahus new album Youth for summer time good Reggae, produced by Bill Laswell. Infact everyone should have a copy. Certainly doesn't look like a Reggae star being orthodox Jew but certainly rocking the Quimby neighbourhood

Fujiya and Miyagi "Transparent Things" - wonderful Krautish pop wickedness from Brighton. Lovely summer gem.

I second Tuung album too, and if you haven't got the Biosphere album yet then SORT IT OUT!
